Mulberry has launched its SS13 campaign and we’re enchanted by the new dreamlike, surreal images for the next season. So, if the could weather is still making us feel grumpy, I’m 100% sure that British staple pastels will cheer you up!
The ad campaign was shot by the renowned photographer Tim Walker at Copped Hall, just outside London in a Georgian mansion, and features the gorgeous model Meghan Collison in some memorable pieces from the newest collection.
“This season I wanted to focus on the girl as part of the landscape rather than a character within it and, as such, casting was crucial… thus the pictures of Meghan Collison become more like portraits. Meghan Collison was the perfect choice, strong, confident, able to hold your gaze but almost otherworldly, she inhabits a dreamscape” said Tim Walker.
“Guilty” for this water-coloured glory are set designer Shona Heath who crafted this pastel underwater imagery, stylist Jane How, art directors Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme, hair stylist Sam McKnight for the beachy waves and artist Val Garland for the minimal makeup look.
“The campaign images reflect Emma (Hill)’s vision for the season, a dreamscape of delicate powdery pastels inspired by corals and lunar landscapes provides the perfect context for Meghan Collison’s striking beauty,” said Georgia Fendley, the Mulberry Brand Director.
The images showcase some of Mulberry strongest catwalk looks and the season’s key bag silhouettes such as The Cecily, Cecily flower Tote, Bayswater bags and last but not the least, the Willow bag too. We’re definitely salivating over them!
